Brandon & Erin Bragg have been married for over 5 years, during which time, they have consistently devoted themselves to study-application and leadership in the disciplines of physical health & fitness, mental acuity, emotional intelligence, and most importantly, spiritually maturity through an ever-growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Brandon & Erin are inventors, creators, athletes, coaches, musicians, and children of the Most High King. They own and manage The Pilgrim Tea Co. and live in Gainesville, GA where they serve as members of Free Chapel. Join us every Sunday at 9am & 11am ET @ Free Chapel Online.

MY IDENTITY

  • My identity is found in Jesus Christ (Colossians 3:3).
  • I am dead to sin and alive in Christ. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21).
  • He is the vine and I am a branch. Apart from Him I can do nothing (John 15:5).
  • I will always be a student of the Word. Because God is omniscient, I am always learning, ever increasing in wisdom, knowledge, understanding, discernment, and capacity (2 Timothy 2:15).
  • I humbly embrace my need for His continual refining fire through discipleship training, that I may disciple others (Proverbs 27:17; Matthew 28:16-20).
  • I respect authority, even when I don’t agree, because God is the author of all authority (Romans 13:1-2).
  • I am the same person in all company.
  • My greatest ambition and calling in life is to know Christ and make Him known.

MY PURPOSE

  • Jesus – He is my ever present-help, my Counselor and friend. I was bought at a price, and I belong to Him. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20). Therefore, I offer my life as an expression of praise and worship to the Lord.
  • Others – We enjoy connecting with people and sharing God’s goodness with others. I am inspired to inspire others to live for Jesus and discover their purpose. Everyone has a God-given dream and He wants to partner with us in fulfilling the purpose for which we were created.
  • My Spirit, Soul, and Body – His presence has always been the anchor for my soul, even when I drifted. For me, studying and sharing God’s Word is filling, refilling, and fulfilling. The Psalmist wrote, “He who refreshes others will he himself be refreshed” (Proverbs 11:25).

MORE ABOUT BRANDON

I was born and raised in Virginia Beach, VA. I grew playing in the studios of the Christian Broadcasting Network where my father worked as a broadcast journalist and on-air personality for The 700 Club. He was later hired by Jay Sekulow as his chief executive producer for the American Center for Law and Justice as well as the Trinity Broadcasting Network. As part of his ministry, my father was and still is a professional Christian musician and singer. His current choir was the first of its kind to be invited to perform in North Korea. I inherited many of his gifts, so as a child I made frequent appearances on Christian television through commercials, musical performances with The CBN International Children’s Choir, and music videos with artists such as Larnelle Harris, Sheila Walsh, and Psalty The Singing Songbook.

When I wasn’t at work with my dad, I was helping my mom and her best friend build one of the largest Christian benevolence ministries in the world at the time. What started as a food pantry in the broom closet of our church’s gym quickly became a multi-million dollar storefront ministry, wherein she and her team of volunteers organized and redistributed free donations. I witnessed and helped them give away free houses, cars, appliances, mountains of clothes, food, and household items and sent cargo containers of non-perishables across the world. I will write more about this adventure another day, but the lesson I learned was that we cannot out-give God. He will just keep pouring blessings upon blessings to those who give generously. Praise the Lord, that ministry is still in operation today and managed by some of the same volunteers who helped start it over 25 years ago. I am thankful to have been home-schooled along with my three younger siblings, for much of my youth, which allowed for me to be heavily involved in the same ministries in which my parents served. 

My parents loved to house missionaries, so our home was often bustling with Christian evangelists representing diverse cultures from around the world. My faith grew as a child because of being a participant and witness to so many miracles. When my siblings and I especially liked a missionary, we would wait until they were sitting for tea and then offer to take off their shoes to help them relax from their long journey. We would then hide their shoes and pretend we forgot where we put them. Occasionally, our “hospitality” would result in a lovely prolonged visit, but usually it resulted in all of the adults frantically searching every nook and cranny of the house while we played the hot-cold game. We would follow them around saying, “You’re getting warmer!” or shake our heads and say, “Ooh — ice cold.” My mom, so patient, would be holding back laughter as she said things like “This isn’t funny, guys. Mr. Oladokun needs his shoes to get on the plane.”

I have so many great stories to share with you, but I will save them for the messages that God continues to inspire through me. There’s a lot more coming, so stay tuned!
